Steve May was born in 1968 in Hastings and spent his childhood drawing lots of things. 

After studying Fine Art painting and film-making in Nottingham and touring with an unsuccessful pop band, Steve completed an MA in Animation at the Royal College of Art and currently works as a successful London based freelance illustrator and animation director.

Steve works widely in editorial, children's publishing and advertising.
